Immediate postgame reaction to Game 5 of the World Series

First up: Yes, I got a haircut and it doesn’t look amazing here. I did not bother to get specifically camera-ready at 11:30 and, as a result, it’s definitely giving little page boy. Let’s look past that.

We talk about: The Dodgers’ sloppy play, would we eat Davis Schneider’s “nasty soup,” how I think Trey Yesavage should win something, the best names of people tangentially related to the game last night, what Zach is reading lately, Vladimir Guerrero Jr.’s superstar turn, and, relatedly, how the Blue Jays represent something very rare in sports these: Boldness banking on optimism.
